BIOE 2670 - Topics in Bioimaging

Description: The basic principles, specific implementations and major application fields of bioimaging will be discussed. Emphasis will be on optical bioimaging, but other key areas (CT, NMR, PET, Ultrasound) will also be covered. The need for non-invasiveness and for a bioengineering approach to the design and use of bioimaging methodologies will be stressed and illustrated with recent developments. Application areas to be featured include cancer research, surgery, orthopedics, and immunology and others.
