Nanotechnology Laboratory:
261 Benedum Hall

Atomic force microscope (AFM), magnetic force microscope (MFM), (NanoScope IIIa from Digital Instruments ) capable of imaging nanostructure of nanotube, nanobelt and nanopartical, indenting on and pulling-off from a substrate in nanometer scale. A Hysitron nano-indentation system combined with the AFM will be able to characterize nano-mechanical behavior of thin film, multilayers as well as nanocrystalined materials.
